Let’s say you sell Digital Widgets on your website. You probably talk about your products’ benefits and features already, using a link back to the site. You are aware that there are a lot of different products out there that you don’t sell, but would be a complimentary product for your customers. You can use these products to provide them with information and great deals, if you work it right.
This marketing strategy works like this. You can create a new board on Pinterest with a whole range of complimentary products that your customers may be interested in owning. Of course you advertise the link on Twitter also. You can check out my Pinterest page at http://pinterest.com/webwarrior
According to reports, Pinterest is now driving a lot of revenue toward the company using code they add to the posts and a company called skimlinks.
This works because the other products you are promoting will take notice and possibly start to promote their products this way also. There is a good chance this will result in even more traffic to the site.
Connect all of your Social media platforms around this strategy for the most impact and influence. For instance, you can talk about how well your strategy works on your Google plus feed. You may even have contacts on some of the other social networks that could benefit from your page. Remember to always link back.
This is a strategy that you might want to pursue if you are looking to generate more revenue.
